Outrage: California Revokes Gun Permit of Homeowner Hero!

Vince Ricci, a Los Angeles homeowner, found himself stripped of his concealed carry gun permit by the state of California after using a firearm to defend against intruders at his residence. In a video for the NRA via Fox News, Ricci expressed his outrage, highlighting California’s decision to curtail his Second Amendment rights following his act of self-defense.

The trouble began when the sheriff’s office contacted Ricci, informing him that his concealed carry permit was revoked. This action was reportedly triggered by his conduct toward Los Angeles police officers when they arrived at his home three days after the shooting incident. Ricci asserted that the LAPD’s investigation was subpar, citing instances of shoddy police work, such as the failure to collect scattered casings near his property as evidence.

The confrontation occurred on November 4 when armed assailants attempted to force their way into Ricci’s gated Los Angeles residence just as he returned home. His wife, 5-month-old daughter, and the family’s nanny were inside the house during the attack. Despite California’s stringent regulations for obtaining a concealed carry permit, the law permits legal U.S. residents over 18 to carry firearms on private property without such licenses.

Ricci stressed that the shooting constituted a clear case of self-defense as the intruders were aiming guns at him. The incident, captured on camera at his front door, highlighted a broader issue of individuals defending themselves but facing repercussions, often unnoticed by political agendas.

Prior to this altercation, Ricci had been the target of previous criminal incidents, including a home break-in and car theft. He mentioned that his neighborhood had been subjected to similar criminal activities, underscoring the urgency of the situation.

The NRA voiced support for Ricci, condemning the suspension of his CCW and praising his protective actions as emblematic of the organization’s core principles. They criticized Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon’s policies for fostering an environment that resembles a “war zone,” advocating for the defense of citizens’ rights to safeguard their families.

Russell Stuart, owner of Beverly Hills Guns, echoed the sentiment that Ricci’s case epitomized a lawful citizen utilizing his Second Amendment rights to protect himself and his family on personal property. Stuart emphasized the growing threat posed by criminals who disregard the law and are armed, necessitating self-defense measures for innocent individuals.

Ricci lamented the jeopardy his Second Amendment rights faced due to the policies of California’s left-leaning politicians, highlighting the necessity of self-reliance and the importance of the NRA in safeguarding individual safety.
