Facebook has been allowing human traffickers to promote their services on their monopoly social media platform to seemingly enabling the migrant invasion at the U.S. border.
“Travel to Mexico to the United States. Costs $8,000. 100 percent safe,” one post reads. “Cross through Matamoros. You walk one hour, after in automobile until you arrive to your relative.”
“Make your dream a reality in the United States. We are here to help you,” another post reads. “The journey is safe and reliable and the price is $4,500 leaving from Monterrey to San Antonio, Texas.”
While conservative groups are removed from the platform with purpose, Facebook evidently fails in removing groups that make it easier for human traffickers to ensnare victims, fueling the scheme to overwhelm America with third-world migrants.
“Someone help me go to the United States,” an individual wrote in a pro-trafficking Facebook group.
“It’s ready. 3,000 to arrive at the line/ 6000 to jump to your destination. Whatever state. Pay when your relatives receive you,” a smuggler responded. Read more…
