Cellulite, that icky “cottage cheesy” skin that is the ban of every mom’s existence! But, cheer up ladies this mom has found some really effective cellulite fighters!
Nobody wants to talk about cellulite, but the truth is that almost all women have to deal with it at one time or another. Cellulite is simply a term for fat deposits that form under the skin and give it that gross dimpled appearance. Lumpy cellulite typically appears on the abdomen and the thighs.
While you certainly shouldn’t let cellulite keep you from loving your body, you can get rid of it if you don’t like the way it looks. Here are a few of the best cellulite busters!
Exercise and Eat Right
The best way to get rid of cellulite is to reduce the amount of fat you have on your body. The best way to do this is to get regular exercise and to eat a healthy diet. You should try to get in at least 150 minutes of moderate cardiovascular activity every week. You should also add strength training workouts to your routine two or three times a week. Combining cardio workouts with strength training will supercharge your fat loss.
On the diet side, follow these tips to make sure that your diet is a cellulite fighter:
- Eat as few animal products as possible
- Make the majority of your diet come from plant sources
- Do not eat processed foods of fast food
- Reduce carbs, and eat whole grains
- Load up on the fruits and vegetables
- Try to avoid sugar as much as possible
Drink Lots of Water
When your body is not hydrated properly, the cellulite you have will appear more pronounced. To prevent this, make sure that you are consistently drinking plenty of water each day. At a minimum, make sure you drink 64 ounces per day.
Also, try to avoid things that dehydrate the body. This includes things like:
- Fried Foods
Massage the Cellulite
One of the most enjoyable ways to reduce cellulite is to get a massage. Massaging the areas where cellulite occurs stimulates circulation and helps to activate the lymphatic system. This will help to remove toxins and reduce inflammation, reducing the appearance of cellulite.
If diet and exercise are not giving you the reduction of cellulite you desire, you can try the laser treatment called “Cellulaze.” This laser treatment available at the doctor’s office will stimulate collagen production and thicken the skin by up to 25 percent. It also levels out the dimples and bumps that makeup cellulite.
