Republican Oklahoma state Sens. Nathan Dahm and Marty Quinn recently announced a new bill that would rename a portion of the infamous Route 66 highway after President Trump, according to The Hill. “We feel this is a perfect opportunity to commemorate the great impact his leadership has had on improving the economy and bringing jobs and commerce back to our great state,” stated Dahm on the news outlet KOKH.
According to the introduction of the bill, both Dahm and Quinn propose that a 13-mile stretch of Route 66 that starts from Miami and goes through Commerce, ending around Industrial Parkway in Ottawa County be designated to honor Trump. The change would come at no cost to taxpayers and the bill will be heard in the upcoming legislative session.
