After a two month hiatus of selling their extremely popular chicken sandwiches, Popeyes is now back in business with more of the famous sandwiches; only now, they are adding the death of one customer fighting to get the sandwich to the menu. NBC News recently reported a story detailing the death of a 28-year-old unidentified male who started an argument with another man after being cut in front of while in line to order the sandwich.
According to the report, the young man started arguing with another man when the person cut the line. Afterwords were exchanged, the two men went outside to continue their dispute, ending in the victim being stabbed. The victim was rushed to a hospital in nearby Oxon Hill, outside Washington D.C. where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. “We do not yet know whether this was the result of a dispute over one of our products or something unrelated, but there is no reason for someone to lose their life in a parking lot,” stated Popeyes to NBC News. Currently, there are no suspects reported.
