After suffering from a recent heart attack, Sen. Bernie Sanders now attempts to put out fires that resulted after he claimed to cut back on rallies due to his health condition, according to NBC News. Immediately after suffering from his heart attack, Sanders made claims publicly that his health forced him to scale back on campaign rallies. Now, Sanders states that his ‘health scare’ has only strengthened his resolve.
“I misspoke the other day when I said a word I should not have said and media drives me a little nuts to make a big deal about it,” stated Sanders on the Today show. “I love doing rallies and I love doing town meetings,” he continued. When asked about his age on the program and how it might affect his campaign, he responded by saying “age and health are relevant to voters during a campaign, but that so too was the candidate’s platform.”
