March 24th will forever mark the day student protestors took a stand against the unfortunate and prevalent school shootings in America. Young people throughout the nation came together to show solidarity in numbers this past weekend as they held signs, made heartfelt speeches, and took selfies to post on their social media pages.
Despite the left’s desire to use this movement to their advantage, many protestors don’t want to eliminate the right to bear arms as much as they desire regulation on gun control. This is something many members of both parties support.
The march known as “March for Our Lives” garnered the attention of celebrities like singer/songwriter/actress Miley Cyrus and kicked off similar movements in cities throughout the nation. The white house even gave their support for the march saying, “We applaud the many courageous young Americans exercising their First Amendment rights today.”
