Universities throughout the nation are closing down one-by-one as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus outbreak, according to The New York Times. The shut down of the schools has led many college students to wonder what their future holds, considering they have been told by their school officials to stay home after spring break. “We received an email from our headmaster telling us that we have to evacuate our dorms one week after spring break,” said one Harvard University student.
Unfortunately, this student is not alone in his confusion and dismay over his recent eviction from his dorm located on campus. With each passing day, another college announces that it is temporarily shutting its doors and requiring their students to complete the semester with online courses. For many students, this is not the best solution. “I’m an art major, so I can’t imagine how online courses will provide me with the depth of learning that I will need,” stated Camille Robinson, an art student at New York University.
