There’s an iconic quote from the classic 1972 film “The Godfather” in which Don Michael Corleone gives his brother-in-law (who betrayed him), a drink and tells him “Today I settled all Family business, so don’t tell me you’re innocent, Carlo.”
Last Friday President Trump did his best “Godfather” imitation and finally began settling White House business by getting rid of the corrupt Obama-era swamp dwellers who have been attempting to undermine his administration for 3-long consecutive years — with a steady stream of subversive leaks, rumors, and phony stories.
The administration’s purge was confirmed by National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien. Thus far approximately 70 positions inherited from the former president have been chopped – with many more slated to leave.
In fact, many believe the biggest obstacle that faced the Trump Administration when he first took office in 2016 was inheriting Obama operatives from the NSC. Democrats purposely slow-walked the President’s nominations for many mid-level positions, forcing the President to keep disloyal deep-state operatives.
