Myah Autry, 32, a woman who went viral online when a video surfaced of her dancing inside an enclosed lion’s den at the Bronx Zoo, was recently arrested and charged with criminal trespass, according to Fox News. Autry posted video footage of herself going into the enclosed areas of the lion’s den and the den of the giraffes on her Instagram page, along with the message: “If I walked in the lion den, do you think for one second I’m scared of a handcuff, I’m scared of a jail cell?”
The video footage went viral, causing a full manhunt for the arrest of Autry. “Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff, and animals safe,” stated a spokesperson for the Bronx Zoo. “We have a zero-tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers,” the spokesperson continued.
