On the deadly day of September 11th, 2000, we all faced a deadly and catastrophic reality of terrorism on U.S. soil, and it turned our world upside down. It took a while for anyone in America to find it within themselves to laugh or smile, and we all thought that decency and humanity died along with the victims of that day.
It was the first time people actually listened to the airline stewards when they gave instruction on what to do in case of emergency. Unfortunately, the moment the dust settled on the events of 9/11 everyone began to ignore the stewards…just like old times.
People fell into their old ways of doing things, of which included their ignoring safety lessons prior to a flight taking off. Well, this had to be stopped and there was only one stewardess who knew how to end it once and for all.
In this video, someone recorded a stewardess as he gave instructions on what to do in case there was an emergency during the flight. The wonderful thing about this guy is that he knew exactly how to keep the attention of the passengers, all while providing them with vital safety information.
With the use of humor, the stewardess not only shared all information on safety procedures, but he also engaged the passengers with his antics. He truly is a hilarious sight to see.
It’s unfortunate that airline stewards have to become creative when providing safety information that will help to save lives. You would thing that everyone would pay close attention to what they should do if there was an emergency, but no.
As a society, we have proven our ability to bounce back in the face of danger and go back to the normalcy of our lives, as if nothing ever happened. It’s an unfortunate reality, but it’s real. Too bad we don’t have more stewards like this guy! He truly knows how to keep an audience’s attention.
