A chef, known only as Chef Jahangir, was taken into custody at a hotel in India after he allegedly poured boiling oil on a customer who complained about his order taking too long, according to Newsweek. Mohammed Bin Bakshadi, 29, was a local businessman from Hashamabad who placed his order and was told by the chef that it would only take 15 minutes.
However, Bakshadi waited for 30 minutes and then began to shout at both the staff and the chef for his wait. According to the New Indian Express, Chef Jahangir became agitated and offended by the alleged abusive language used by Bakshadi, and as a result, threw hot oil from the kitchen onto Bakshadi’s face. The victim was then rushed to a private hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.
